More than 40 years after its first flight, the
Lockheed C-130 Hercules is with no doubt everyone´s favorite for
logistics operations with over 60 users around the world as a proof of
this statement, just comparable with the C-47 success in the 40s and 50s.
Their reliability, versatility and the ability
to land and take-off on short strips, has made of this remarkable aircraft
the working horse of most latin american countries, where their geographical
conditions and not so many prepared runways in remote places demand this
type of cargo planes to fulfill their logistics requirements.
Here you will find every C-130 operator in Latin
America with the most information we could get from many sources. The only
purpose of this article is to give a rough guide to this aircraft and operators
and we will update constantly this page as more information is obtained.
